La Cabanya Ecostars certification Ecostars - Ecological Hotel Rating

The holiday home La Cabanya in Banyoles (Girona - Costa Brava) has obtained the Ecostars sustainability seal no. EUES-000.688

Ecostars is a sustainability certificate recognized by the most important organizations worldwide. From now, we are already part of the 10% of the Spanish hotel base already certified with Ecostars, being the most widespread certificate in Spain and Western Europe.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO / UNWTO) chose Ecostars in its Rural Tourism Startup Competition 2021 as the best global sustainability project, and since then they have been working with the organization for more sustainable tourism.

Ecostars is a member at the international level of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and at the national level of the Tourism Board of Spain, being the only certificate that holds both memberships. In addition, it collaborates with the most important international sustainability organizations, such as Climate Neutral Now (UNFCCC UN programme), Ecoembes (recycling), FSC (sustainable sources) and the World Food Travel Association (food).
